Sr. C#/ASP.NET Web Application Developer:

Location: Raleigh, NC

At Visual Network Design we are committed to providing services and products that deliver key features to simplify and reduce the time consumed designing, modeling and operating the physical infrastructure of the datacenter. This is an excellent chance for an energetic, enthusiastic and positive software developer to join a small and growing team working on the web portal component of our Rackwise solution.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Extends and enhances an existing web application written in ASP.NET.

- Participates in requirement reviews to ensure that requirements are well-defined.

- Works well in a small and dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

Essential

- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related quantitative field.

- 7 or more years of software development experience.

- Expert-level knowledge of ASP.NET, C#, IIS, and SQL Server.

- Extensive knowledge of HTML, XML, XSLT and JavaScript.

- Experience developing n-tier applications, including web services.

- Full understand of Software Engineering concepts and procedures including the entire range of the software development life cycle process - analysis, design, development, integration, deployment, maintenance, and testing

- Legally authorized to work in the United States

Additional

- Ability to undertake detailed design and development work.

- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

- Superior knowledge of programming principles and user-interface design.

- Experience creating production quality solutions in a vertical market.

- Strong knowledge of object-oriented techniques (OOD, OOA, and OOP) and design patterns.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Knowledge of data center operations.

- Detailed knowledge of Visio object model.

Qualifications

- 7 or more years of software development experience.

- Expert-level knowledge of Windows Forms and C#.

- Proven knowledge of interfacing with Microsoft Office products via COM interfaces.

- Experience with XML and XSLT

- Experience developing n-tier applications, including web services.

- Full understand of Software Engineering concepts and procedures including the entire range of the software development life cycle process - analysis, design, development, integration, deployment, maintenance, and testing.
